The birth of Dr.’s REMEDY began with a warning: New York podiatrist Dr. Adam Cirlincione’s wife was pregnant and advised against using hair dyes, being exposed to certain, harmful chemicals and eating potentially-hazardous foods. Dr. Cirlincione began researching the ingredient lists on his wife’s favorite cosmetics, and found that her nail polish appeared problematic: DBP, toluene and formaldehyde – which are common to many mainstream nail enamels – are proven dangerous, as well as damaging to the nail.
Enter, the origin of Dr.’s REMEDY in 2006. Dr. Cirlincione partnered with friend and fellow New York podiatrist Dr. William Spielfogel to develop an enriched nail polish that contained amazing, gorgeous pigment – and was void of harmful, harsh chemicals. As Board Certified Podiatrists, the two doctors understood the need for a healthier, more natural polish. Dr.’s REMEDY Enriched Nail Polish contains naturally-occurring antifungal ingredients, as well as vitamins and protein – known to help with nail discoloration.
Next, Dr.’s REMEDY began selling directly to foot doctors at well-respected trade shows, and signed on with BLISS Spa’s Catalog. Prior to Dr.’s REMEDY, BLISS had never sold nail polish, thus it was a huge feat (no pun intended). By the end of 2007, Dr.’s REMEDY grew its client list to over 200 doctors and dozens of high-end spas. Its retail business continues to climb as consumers begin to learn the dangers of toxic chemicals in many commercial nail polishes. Currently, Dr.’s REMEDY supplies more than 800 doctors.
In addition to the Enriched Nail Polish, Dr.’s REMEDY boasts a brilliant line of ancillary products to promote nail, hand and foot health; in the spring of 2011, the dynamic doctor duo will launch a one-of-a-kind body concealing cosmetic.
Dr.’s REMEDY is a line of doctor-inspired cosmetics that is dedicated to using clean, hypo-allergenic ingredients. The birth-child of two New York-based podiatrists, Dr. Adam Cirlincione and Dr. William Spielfogel, Dr.’s REMEDY proves quintessentially-perfect for any person looking to better the condition of her skin and nails. Dr.’s REMEDY is sold online at www.remedynails.com or by calling 1-877-323-NAIL.
